Boots On and Warm Up starts at 10:00 sharp each Sunday and is aimed at getting the boys into the habit of stretching their muscles and getting themselves warmed up ready for coaching. Its an important part of the team readiness and reduce the risk of injury. By being on time for this part of the session it means we're fully prepared for the training and matches that follow.
The routine has been well prepared by a sports physiotherapist, and then enthusiastically delivered by Chris and the 'warm-up team'.
Each week we will aim to do three circuits. Each circuit consisting of:
Ankle Rolls
Left/Right Leg Lunge
Side Vents
Ankle/Stars Stretch (all hail the team!)
Left/Right Foot 'touch' run
Press-Ups - (Samak style)
Burpees
Attack/Defence Run
Plank
Star Jumps
And yes it is fun as well .......
